Searching WorldCat

by David Procházka, 3/3/2006

Picture yourself searching WorldCat using keyword searches; we do it all the time. Now picture what happens when you click on the window to the right, where the index labels are given. You get what seems to be an endless list of choices, right?

You can change that list. You can take out labels you never use, and you can put the ones you want to keep in any order you like. Simply click on this button , which appears right above the long list of labels. You’ll get a popup window that’s pretty self explanatory. If you’d like me to help you set this up, just let me know.

Record Colors for Bib and Auth Records

by David Procházka

Did you know that in Connexion you can have bibliographic records and authority records display in different colors? Well, you can. You can even create different color screens for different authorizations! For example, Ive set up one color scheme for my general work and a different color for my NACO-Music authority work.

If youd like to find out more about either of these options, just let me know. Ill be happy to show you how they work.
